Scottish parcel delivery experts reward Ruairidh’s mum with a special delivery for Mother’s Day

We celebrated our 30^th year in the business last week and since our anniversary fell so close to Mother’s Day we decided to celebrate by making special deliveries to 30 of Scotland’s most deserving mums.

Throughout March we encouraged sons and daughters across Scotland to nominate their beloved mums, and while the runners-up received flowers and chocolates delivered to their door, the overall winner received a bumper luxury Thornton’s hamper.

We were absolutely staggered at the response we got from the people of Scotland – who clearly wanted to show their mums just how much they mean to them.

It was extremely difficult to choose the winners, but we eventually narrowed it down to 30 special ladies with one particular nomination tugging at our heart strings to take the overall prize.

Lucky mum Debbie Chandler looked ready to melt – when she took the surprise delivery of a luxury hamper of chocolates.

The unexpected gift was handed over after she was nominated by son Ruairidh for being “quite simply, amazing!”

Ruairidh, who lives in Leith and works with Marks & Spencer, told how he nominated his mother who recently lost her own mum – and said he hoped her success would help her smile again.

He said: “With this being her first Mother’s Day without her mum, I wanted to make her smile all day long and make it a special Mother’s Day to remember.”

By the look of her face when the delivery was made, it was definitely a Mother’s Day she will remember as being special.

And we are thrilled to have been able to play a part. We loved spreading some unexpected joy this Mother’s Day and being able to give our loyal customers the opportunity to show some remarkable ladies just how important they are.
