Seven Wonders of the Central Belt

Book Delivery

With summer in full swing, we thought we’d take a look at some of our favourite drives around the Central Belt to give you all the inspiration you need for any road trips coming up.

1. Edinburgh Castle

This iconic feature of the Edinburgh skyline tops our list. Our drivers always love making courier deliveries at the castle. After driving through the service tunnel, you emerge at the very top and are rewarded with stunning views of the whole city and over the Forth to Fife.

2. Queensferry Crossing

This wondrous feat of engineering fills our drivers with pride. When driving from North to South you can catch a glimpse of the Forth Road and Rail bridges, making for a truly breath-taking drive.

3. Route from Livingston to Linlithgow

Offering sweeping views of the Pentland Hills range and over the Firth of Forth, this road is a welcome break from the bustling city traffic. The route feels truly remote and tranquil. In need of a pit stop? Beecraig’s Country Park is the perfect spot for a coffee break.

4. The Kelpies

The Kelpies are always an impressive sight, to be sure. Only a short drive from Falkirk, these magnificent sculptures are a firm favourite among our drivers.

5. Edinburgh or Glasgow to Glencoe

Whilst this goes beyond the Central Belt, we couldn’t resist sneaking these routes into the list. Our drivers always enjoy taking deliveries up the Glencoe Road and beyond. There is a unique mix of scenery en-route and you can watch as the landscape becomes more mountainous the further you travel north.

6. M8 Junction 31 to Greenock

Despite being on the motorway, our drivers are particularly fond of this stretch along the M8 with sporadic views across the River Clyde to landmarks such as Dumbarton Rock and the panoramic hills beyond Helensburgh.

7. A91 Tillicoutry to Alva

Last but certainly not least, this road is a favourite for drivers travelling between Tayside and Fife to Glasgow. Although this is only a short section, the picturesque scenery is sure to leave a lasting impression.
