FIVE REASONS YOUR MUM DESERVES AN EXTRA FREE TREAT THIS MOTHER’S DAY – AND HOW TO WIN
To celebrate 30 years of Eagle Couriers we are giving sons and daughters the chance to show their appreciation to their beloved mums.
Let us know why your mother is special and we’ll choose 30 of the most deserving and we’ll make a special delivery to them for Mother’s Day – hand delivering a box of luxury Thorntons chocolates and a bouquet of flowers on Friday 13th March.
What’s more, the best nomination, as judged by a team at Eagle Couriers will win a luxury Thorntons hamper donated by the famous chocolatiers.
Full details on how to enter this totally free competition can be found at the bottom of this post.
So as if you needed any more encouragement to get your entries in, we thought we would compile a list of 5 reasons as to why your mum is deserving of a little extra treat this Mother’s Day.
1. She brought you into the world
Let’s face it, this is the biggie – without your mum enduring the torture of childbirth you simply wouldn’t be here. So to devote one day to telling her how much you love her isn’t too much to ask now is it?
2. She put up with the ‘teenage years’
One minute a precocious youngster keen to please mummy and daddy – seemingly overnight this doting child transformed into a lurching hormonal teenager.
So when you look back on your teenage years and think to all those arguments – when all your mum really wanted was what’s best for you – it maybe is time to repay her patience and kindness.
3. The laundry mountains
Let’s be honest – dads may try but they just aren’t much use when it comes to the laundry are they? The sheer mountains of it our mums have done so that we can have clean shirts on our backs is staggering and certainly worthy of a box of luxury chocolates and a bouquet of flowers.
4. The soiled nappies
Oh the stench! From further back than your memories can reach your mum has been loving and caring for you. And love is so often shown in the most unpleasant ways.
The stench of the soiled nappy comes to mind, but a notable mention goes to the wetted bed sheets, the copious amounts of vomit and the bloody knees – all cleared up and resolved by that very special woman in your life.
5. The morals
Just as your mum brought you into the world, she also moulded you into the fine upstanding citizen that you are today – the person that would take the extra few minutes to give them a chance of receiving a lovely surprise for Mother’s Day.
To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is to tell us what makes your mum so special, in 30 words or less, in an email sent to [email protected]*
It is completely free to enter and with 30 potential winners – the chances of winning are extremely high.
So tell us why you love her, what she has done for you and we will let you know by the 12th March if you have been successful.
So don’t delay – get your emails in to us. That extra little bit of effort will go a long way – and is a perfect chance to show the remarkable lady that brought you into the world and taught you all that you know just what she means to you.
