Eagle Economy Deliveries are a popular option for our clients
As the name suggests, we can arrange delivery of less-urgent goods via the economy network. As Scotland’s Leading Independent Courier, we have built relationships with the UKs leading parcel networks and use our booking volume to provide preferable rates to our customers.
What is economy delivery?
Economy delivery services are similar to what you would expect from an online retailer. Eagle will arrange to have your goods uplifted and taken to a local depot for processing. From there, we use our decades of experience to decide which network has the best performance in the delivery area.
Collections via the economy network operate Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Generally, your consignment will be trunked to the National Hub and processed for transit to a local delivery depot. From there, the local delivery depot will process the delivery with a driver to arrive within business hours. Proving we have a mobile number, the recipient will receive a SMS notification of their one hour delivery window the morning of delivery.
As there is a variety of parties and depots involved, economy deliveries can experience delays from time to time. As a rule of thumb, we advise 24-48 hours for UK Mainland deliveries (excluding Scottish Highlands & Islands). However, economy consignments are subject to third party delays that may lie outwith the control of Eagle Couriers.
Why choose Eagle Couriers?
Our top priority is our customers. Our Operations Team track all third party shipments multiple times a day, to ensure that our clients are kept up to date with the status of their delivery. Whilst many couriers will be able to provide a third party economy service, we will always go the extra mile to ensure your time isn’t spent chasing shipments and couriers, we will manage everything for you.
